RC HELI SIM Launch simulator

RC helicopter simulator for desktop and VR

RC Heli Sim runs in your browser, with RC helicopters, fixed-wing airplanes and flying fields to explore. Practise hovering, inverted flight and 3D manoeuvres on desktop, or fly in immersive VR using the Meta Quest 3 browser. No simulator installation is needed.

Start flying with a keyboard

Open the simulator in a desktop browser with JavaScript and WebGL enabled. Wait for the aircraft and scenery to load, then use these controls:

KeyAction
W / SRaise / lower helicopter collective or airplane throttle
Arrow keysCyclic: pitch and roll
A / DRudder / yaw
MStart or stop the motor
HThrottle hold
FChange flight mode
RReset aircraft

Connect a gamepad or RC transmitter

A standard Xbox-style gamepad is mapped automatically. Connect it by USB or Bluetooth and move a stick so the browser detects it. The left stick controls collective and rudder; the right stick controls cyclic. A resets, B starts or stops the motor, X changes flight mode and Y toggles throttle hold.

Typical ExpressLRS Bluetooth joysticks and OpenTX transmitters in USB joystick mode are supported when your computer's browser recognises them as a joystick. Enable joystick mode on your transmitter, then pair it with your PC over Bluetooth or connect it by USB, as appropriate. Move the sticks, then open MAP TX. Move each stick through its full travel, assign the channels and use REV for any reversed axis. Save the mapping for that device.

Joystick not detected in Chrome or Edge? Updating the browser can sometimes resolve detection problems. Check for updates, install any available update and restart the browser. Then reopen the simulator, reconnect your joystick and move a stick so the browser can detect it.

Fly in VR on Meta Quest 3

  1. Open rchelisim.com in the Quest browser.
  2. Wait for the simulator to load and select ENTER VR.
  3. Use the Quest Touch thumbsticks or a compatible paired gamepad or RC transmitter.

Touch controllers use Mode 2: left stick for collective and rudder, right stick for cyclic. Right A resets, right B controls the motor, left X changes flight mode and left Y toggles hold. Exit VR before opening MAP TX to configure a transmitter.

If your joystick will not connect to the Quest

A transmitter may pair with the headset without appearing as a joystick in the Quest browser. You can keep it connected to your PC and use either of these options:

Stream the PC-connected joystick with TX Link

  1. Connect your joystick or transmitter to the PC, open rchelisim.com there and configure its channels in MAP TX.
  2. On the PC, select TX LINK → SHARE THIS DEVICE’S TX and note the four-letter code.
  3. Open the same site in the Quest browser, select TX LINK, enter the code and press CONNECT.
  4. Select ENTER VR on the Quest. Keep the PC simulator tab open: it streams your joystick inputs to the simulator running on the headset.

Stream your PC flight session to the headset

Alternatively, fly the simulator on your PC with the joystick connected there and select GO LIVE. On the Quest, open the same site, select WATCH, choose your PC session and select ENTER VR to view that flight in the headset. The PC remains in control; the Quest displays the live aircraft and scenery. Select END LIVE on the PC when finished. Live sessions appear in the site's WATCH list for other visitors too.

Choose your aircraft and practise

Open SETUP → Aircraft model to choose a helicopter such as the Goosky RS7, Goblin RAW 700 or OMP M7, or try the F5B Hotliner and Extra MX airplanes. Aircraft dimensions and flight settings are representative estimates, not manufacturer-validated replicas.

For hover practice, start with calm wind in SETUP, spool up the helicopter and raise collective gradually. Make small cyclic and rudder corrections. Reset whenever you need another attempt; progress to different orientations and inverted flight as your control improves.

For airplanes, the collective channel becomes throttle. The F5B launches when armed with throttle above 15%; build speed before climbing. The Extra MX accelerates on its wheels; pull back gently around 32 km/h. Keep airspeed during turns and landing to avoid a stall.
